In the relaxation pose the horizontal plane of the body makes the work of the heart easier, and the cardiovascular system rests.

The effect of gravity on these postural muscles is neutralized when the body is completely supported by the floor. This relieves muscle fatigue, allowing you to relax more deeply and making you aware of the dynamic forces acting on your muscles throughout the day.

It’s about training in awareness and getting a healthy sense of perspective.

You’re not trying to turn off your thoughts or feelings. You’re learning to observe them without judgment.

 

And eventually, you may start to better understand them as well.
